Here at Celtic Coaching we believe that our athletes are at the centre of the entire process treating their individual goal as if it were our own. We pride ourselves on our ability to listen before discussing options and potential courses of action with each individual athlete. We care about our individual athletes, as they are part of our family, offering a reassuring voice or a shoulder when injury of illness strike. Our individualised athlete plan is purely that, it is their plan, we remain flexible to changes in circumstances and factors that may and often impact on the ability to train.

Our Aim

Our aim here at Celtic Coaching is clear. We will motivate you to broaden, develop and achieve improvement in your performance. Whether your goal is to run 5K or to compete in an Ironman Triathlon we will provide high quality and friendly coaching. We ensure that:

Our Coach


Barry Farquhar completed his first triathlon back in September 2000 and got the bug. He has completed all distances from Super Sprint through to Ironman. His focus is now the Ironman distance as in his words ‘it’s a nice day out!’.   After receiving invaluable coaching in his early triathlon career, he decided to give back to the sport through coaching others.
